Having a bloody good time in the Alternate Cast of Mercury at The Road Theatre! Steve Yockey (creator of HBO's The Flight Attendant) has written a disturbingly hilarious dark comedy. So happy to take this wild ride with my wonderful cast mates plus director, Ann Hearn Tobolowsky, assistant director, Lara Gold, and one big, bloody bear!

Delighted to be cast in the development workshop of Tune In, a marvelous new play by Carlos Lacamara and directed by Meeghan Holaway. It's a pure treat to play in the sandbox with a talented group of actors that includes Stephen Tobolowsky, Rob Nagle and Jackie Misaye.

Delighted to perform in Tasty Words and share a new story that I wrote about my former dancer life. It was lovely to share the stage with a diverse collection of dance artists and storytellers, curated by the marvelous Wendy Hammers.

I was thrilled to be back at The Road Theatre's Summer Playwrights Festival and cast in Jack Bushnell's beautiful play, Reckonings. It was a pure treat to work with this extraordinary group of artists that included the brilliant Marcelo Tubert.

I was delighted to direct again in The Road's SPF14 and work with multi-talented Elizabeth Sampson on her new play, Sax Appeal.

It has been a pleasure to direct and provide dramaturgy for a new play, still in development. Jason Gray Platt's A True Tragedie is riveting! The Road's SlamFest Under Construction Series brought the first stage of this new work to an audience. Initially, I was cast in a development reading of Jason's play, Arden, at The Road Theatre. My character was killed off, I was invited to direct and it evolved into A True Tragedie. That's showbiz!

Common Ground 7 at The Road Theatre gave me a chance to develop my new story, Diving Deep, into a solo performance. I loved collaborating with directors Meeghan Holaway and Susan Diol. It was a great collection of artists from The Road.

What a Trip! Poster copy.jpeg

I was invited to share a story in the inaugural evening of a new storytelling series, Stories at The Playhouse. I wrote a new piece, Diving Deep, about one of my scuba diving trips to SE Asia and the intricacies of exploring a romantic relationship and death-defying dives into undersea lava tubes.

So happy to direct again in The Road Theatre's Summer Playwrights Festival, which retuned to it's live and in-person format at our theatre on Magnolia. Date by Amy Goddard takes us to the current pandemic "in-between times" when connecting as humans is more challenging than ever.

SETTING THE TABLE -- Jan 2021 Playwrights' Arena Ghost Light Series.jpg

Lovely working on Velina Hasu Houston's beautiful play, Setting the Table, directed by Stewart J. Zully for Playwrights' Arena.

I directed in The Road Theatre's 11th Annual Playwrights Festival, the largest staged reading festival in the US. We pivoted to a digital format that year and took Zoom by storm. I was delighted to direct Catching Up by Emily Jerez, which aired on August 2 at 6pm. I also read The Machine by Matthew Libby (directed by Michael Michetti), which aired on August 14, and Warren and the Polar Bear by Jim Geoghan (directed by Kate Huffman), which aired on August 16.

Voiceover in quarantine! Happy to be working from my home studio. A commercial for Renovation Realty, plus narration on two more documentaries.

My second year in a row mentoring undergraduate and graduate acting students in the Center Theatre Group's Going Pro Mentorship program. Choosing to take on the world of professional theatre after graduation is courageous enough but my hat is off to these aspiring young artists taking the leap during a pandemic shutdown. Sending the students and graduates my very best wishes on the journey!

I was in the world premiere of The Spanish

Prayer Book by Angela J. Davis. This powerful

play was a Eugene O'Neill semi-finalist and was

directed by the brilliant Lee Sankowich. I was

in the Alternate Cast with an extraordinary

ensemble of actors that included Hollywood

heavyweight, Stephen Tobolowsky, and I also performed with the Main Cast on opening night.

I acted and directed in The Road Theatre's 10th Annual Summer Playwrights Festival, the largest stage reading festival in the US. I was cast in Elizabeth's Sampson's A Window With No Glass (directed by Founding Festival Director, Scott Alan Smith) and directed Figueroa by Jeffery Wang.

I performed one of my stories, The Last Christmas, as a solo performance in Common Ground at The Road Theatre. I was delighted to collaborate with director Ann Hearn Tobolowsky and share the stage with a wonderful group of artists.

I'm in a short film called The Smallwhich is also being pitched as a pilot episode for a TV series. It is currently doing the festival circuit and screened at Dances With Films Festival and ITVFest.

I did voiceover for a PBS documentary, John Lewis: Get in the Way. It has been airing on PBS each February during Black History Month.
